OK so recently on my YouTube channel AG fireworks, I made a video about how to create a personality for your American girl/18 inch doll. It's really not that hard for beginners, but for older collectors, it can be...
The first step is to... Well... Buy A DOLL!
Ask friends, look through catalogues, and look on YT for great AG doll recommendations. Wikihow also has some good tips. If you already have some dolls, make sure that you get a doll that has different features from your others, unless you want them to be twins xD! Oh, And don't forget to get a doll with hair that you can handle. if you are just getting your first doll, then you probably want to get a straight haired doll such as Isabel.( yes I know she's retired) Or one of the straight haired truly me's. But, don't be turned off completely to curly haired dolls. If you can take care of your own hair, than you can definitely take care of a doll's, right?
Also give your doll a name. Here's a good site for that.
http://www.randomnames.com/all-girls-names.asp
Next, create a backstory for the doll. Is it sad, extravagant, or just fairly normal? You don't have to, like, post this online or anything. Just keep it in your head if you want to. What is her age? Does she have any thing she wants to do for a living? Or add in other fun extras!

Compare, contrast, and review: What is that anyway?
Hey guys, it's AGfan101, at your service. Today I will be starting a series called Compare, contrast, and review. Now, I bet your asking, what is that anyway? So, basicly, CCAR is where we take two dolls and compare their skin color, eye color, and so on and so forth.
My first one is going to be comparing kanani and Marisol, so watch out for it.

GOTY vs GOTY SHOWDOWN!!!
Hey guys, today I thought that I would do something a little different, a GOTY(girl of the year)vs
GOTY SHOWDOWN!!!
Isabelle has
- Has green eyes, blond hair, and light skin
- She also has pink tipped highlights that you can attach
- Comes in silvery tights, gold dance shoes, and a pink ballerina top
- Has a lot of pink in her wardrobe
- Come in her black jacket
- more colors in her wardrobe other than pink
- come in pink dance flats
- a custom bun helper
- blue eyes, brown hair, and a light skin color
- comes with a pink skirt with a bow in the middle, a white tee with an Eiffel tower graphic on it, and gray boots
- loves to bake with her friends
- goes to PARIS
- has the cutest little doggie named Bonbon
- come in her barret
- a shirt with a COOKIE graphic on it(to show that she loves baking)
- lighter blue eyes
So, in the end, Grace Thomas, GOTY 2015 has won the showdown! But wait!! Who do YOU think won? What else should I put in the have and should have categories of the two AWESOME GOTY's! Put your answer/comment in the comments below, remember, I CAN AND WILL change what I have on this post.

How to find cheap AG stuff!
Hey guys, today i'll bee telling you how to find cheap clothes for your 18inch dolls! There are four sites that i use for buying AG clothes. BTW, it is RIDONKULOUS that doll clothes from the AG website is more expesive than most human clothes!!!
ANYHOW.....
like i said i use four sites for buying AG doll clothes. Etsy is the first, etsy doll clothing ranges from 5-30 dollars. And, the quality, well it depends on who you buy from, knowing that there are multiple people selling stuff on etsy. The second site is called Emily Rose.com, they have great doll stuff, including furniature. BTW, a lot of their doll clothees is pink. The only thing is that they are still a bit pricey, but your purchase is worth it. here is the link:
http://www.dollsclothes-emilyrose.com/18-inch-Doll-Clothes-made-to-fit-American-Girl-doll-s/238.htmNext up, we have Springfeilddolls.com, the have GREAT quality stuff, and the prices rang from 5-15 dollars! The thing i really like about them is that they sell shoes seperately, so if you just want the shoes you won't have to buy the whole outfit JUST FOR THE SHOES!!! So there you have it 3 ways to get cheap stuff for your AG doll!

All about american girl
Hey guys, today's post is all about American girl! I know that I should have done this post a looooooong time ago, but today I saw that this is important, so I'm doing it now.
ANY WHO,
American Girl is a company that was owened by pleasant company, but they gave their company to Mattel. The sad thing about AG is that the dolls are 115 dollars as of 2015 so most AG fans end up not getting a doll! So AG sells 4 kinds of dolls, Historical(now the historicals are called beforever) Historical dolls are dolls that are dressed to look like a time in history, like, world war 3. There wardrobe and furnature are also historic-like. Next up, we have the my American girls dolls, they're the dolls AG has the most of because they have all the dolls to match what people actually look like. Finally, there's Girl of the year, or GOTY. They are made to look like the year we're in. This years GOTY is Grace Thomas, last year's GOTY was Isabelle. Oh, wait!!!! I almost forgot the mini dolls!
mini dolls are the same thing as the regular dolls, but there're, well, MINI these dolls are 25 dollars. There's a link to Americangirl.com

You're fabsome,
how to care for an AG doll's hair
Hey guys, tam showing you how to take care of an AG doll's hair! So, you realize that i said AG doll and not 18 inch. that's because although all doll hair is similar, they are not completely the same. Like, the Madame Alexander doll, the certain type of dye that is in their hair is washable, so if you wash the doll's hair, it loses it's color! (the same has happened to me) so this post only applies for AG dolls.
ANY HOW, LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!
Here's a vid to start ya off!
Wavy haired doll
- use a wire wig brush/AG doll brush
- re wave hair with your finger
- wash hair with mild conditioner every 6 months
- use a wire wig brush/AG doll brush
- wash hair with mild conditioner
- straighten hair only if necessary
- use the AG sparkly pick
- wash hair with mild conditioner every 6 months
- DO NOT brush the hair a lot or it will become SUPER frizzy!!!!
